Before you start.

Do I need a Mac?

No. Flyout works on its own on iPhone and iPad. The mobile purchase is available in the app.

What happens after the trial?

Your notes stay and can keep syncing. Writing pauses until you buy. There is no automatic subscription.

Does my web license include iPhone and iPad?

Yes. A license bought here covers five devices total across Mac, iPhone and iPad. Use your checkout email in the mobile app.

Is iCloud required?

No. Sync starts off. To sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac, use the same Apple Account and enable iCloud sync in Flyout on each device.

Can I use it on iPad?

Yes. Flyout has a native iPad layout on iPadOS 18 or later: the note list and editor sit side by side in wide windows, with a single column in narrow windows.

Can I write offline?

Yes. Your notes are stored locally. iCloud sync needs a connection; it does not have to be enabled to write.
