People reach for sticky notes because a thought needs to live where they can see it: the shopping list, the confirmation number, the thing to say on the next call. The trouble is the squares themselves — they sit on the desktop, get buried under windows, or cover the work. Always at hand, never in the way
Nudge the right edge of your screen — or press ⌥⌘N — and your notes slide out over whatever you’re doing. Step away and the panel slides back. Want it to stay while you copy something over? Pin it, and it stays put until you unpin it.
Track the next step inside the note
Type /todo to give each task a status, such as in progress, in review or done. Add your own statuses and keep the instructions, images and next steps together. Use /check when a simple tick box is enough.
Sticky notes that can remind you
Put a reminder on a whole note — or on the exact line that matters — and macOS notifies you on time. Repeat it daily or weekly, snooze it right from the notification. No account needed.
Tidy by default
Note content is stored as Markdown in a local database. Export it as .md files to use in other editors. Turn on iCloud sync on both devices to keep notes, folders, task statuses and reminders in your own iCloud account. Nothing passes through our servers. You can also write offline and sync when connected again.
Give each note its own colour
Choose from 38 note colours or set a custom colour. Pick the app theme separately. A note’s colour helps you recognise it; coloured tags let you group and filter notes across folders.
