Start with Flyout on your Mac
- Install and open Flyout for Mac.
- Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Select text on a web page, open Flyout from the toolbar, choose a destination and save.

Captured on your Mac
The extension reads the active page title, URL and selected text only when you use its toolbar button or context menu. Captured content goes to Flyout on the same Mac, without passing through the developer’s servers. The extension has no advertising or analytics.
Flyout stores notes locally. Optional iCloud sync is off by default; enabling it syncs notes through your Apple account.

Is the extension free?
Yes. The extension is free and requires the separately sold Flyout Mac app, with an active 7-day trial or license.
Does it save full articles?
No. A page capture saves its title and URL. Selected text can be saved as a quote with a source link. Images, PDFs and full-page archives are not supported.
Can I add to an existing note?
Yes. Choose an existing unlocked note or quick page and add at the beginning or end. You can also create a new note in a folder.
Does it work on Windows or other browsers?
This integration is for Google Chrome on macOS 14 or later with Flyout installed. Windows, Safari, Firefox and other Chromium browsers are not supported in this release.
Chrome cannot connect to Flyout. What should I do?
Install the latest Flyout Mac app, open it from Applications, then reopen the extension. Make sure your trial or license is active.
